Susan M. “Sue” (Staigvil) Resh

Susan M. "Sue" Resh, 54, of Lower Burrell, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023, in UPMC St. Margaret, Pittsburgh. She was born July 25, 1968, in Jeannette, daughter of the late Walter L. "Cheech" and Elizabeth (King) Staigvil. Sue was a graduate of California University, receiving her bachelor’s in social work. Prior to her disability, she pursued her career as a social worker, having worked for UPMC Magee-Woman's Hospital in Pittsburgh. She loved her job and her co-workers. She was very outgoing and could talk to anyone. She was very personable, especially with the older generation. She loved to cook, enjoyed traveling and was a fan of all sports, especially the Steelers.  Sue is survived by her brother, David W. Staigvil; a nephew, Nicholas Staigvil; and a niece, Hannah Staigvil. She is also survived by her dear friend, Glen Katterson. She will be dearly missed by her many friends she has made over the years. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
