Tammy J. (Freiberg) Cross

Tammy J. Cross, 60, of  Jeannette, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at her home.  She was born July 10, 1965 in McKeesport, daughter of Darlene (Martell)  Freiberg of Arona and the late Orvis Freiberg.
In addition to her father, she was preceded  in death by her husband, Jack C. “Ottis” Cross; sisters,  Judy Kuroda and Kathy Kuhn;  brother, Orvis Freiberg; brother-in- law, Clyde Kuhn II and niece, Ember Jade. 
Tammy enjoyed going to camp with her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She will forever be remembered for her smile and special hugs. 
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, April May Ramaswamy ( Barry Blair) of Jeannette, Misty Baker ( Boris Schmondiuk) of Wall and Taylor (Charmaine) Ramaswamy of Mt. Pleasant; ten grandchildren, MaKenna,  Kharma, Noah, Kendyll, Trentyn, Kalel, Willow, Kennedi, Kailand and Amir; three sisters, Evelyn Frye of North Carolina, Darlene “Dee” (Bob) Harrold of Arona and Donna “Funny”  Gribschaw of Arona; sister-in - law, Nancy Freiberg of Belle Vernon; brother-in-law, Tobi Kuroda of West Newton; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.  Tammy  will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2026 at  the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA, 15637, At which time a funeral service will be held in a Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Green officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
