Violet “Vi” Sabol Krance, 84, of Yukon, died Tuesday, March 29th, 2016 at her daughter Toni’s home in McKees Rocks, PA, surrounded by her family. She was born October 20th, 1931 in Braddock, PA, daughter of the late Pauline Cahoj Sabol Kranitz and John Sabol. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Tony “Chuppy” Krance, brother John P. Sabol, and sister Sandra Gettemy. Prior to retirement, she was an accountant at Shuster’s Building Components and Shuster Cellars, an accountant at Oven King Bakery in Herminie, PA, a bookkeeper at Stella Shoaf’s Beauty Salon in Herminie, PA, a bookkeeper at Waltz Garage in Madison, PA, and a bookkeeper at Troutman’s Department Store in Greensburg, PA. Vi’s memberships included Sewickley Class of 1949 monthly luncheons, Treasurer of Senior Citizens’ Yukon Golden Agers, member of Yukon Silver Stars Lodge 729, Ticket Coordinator for Lodge 729, and Judge of Election in South Huntingdon Township for Westmoreland County. Vi had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Yukon. Over the years, she was an active participant for the Christian Mothers. Vi had a gift with numbers. She was able to calculate a grocery order long before the last item was scanned. Vi was an avid reader of the newspaper, enjoyed doing daily word searches, playing solitaire, and completing jigsaw puzzles. She looked forward to attending musicals and band festivals. One of her greatest pleasures was baking many delicious desserts and cooking awesome meals for her family. Her greatest joy was bragging about her five grandchildren and all of their achievements. Her acts of sacrificial love and devotion to family and friends will live on through all who knew her. Vi is survived by her three daughters Debra Krance Bashioum and her husband Jim, of Yukon, Toni Krance and Terri Krance, both of McKees Rocks; her son, Mark A. “Chuppy” Krance and his wife Lisa, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Ryan, Casey, Zachary, Megan, and Chelsi, whom she loved dearly; brother Terry Kranitz and wife Joan of California, numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many friends. Her canine friends Chloe and Jitterbug will miss her dearly. The family would like to thank the staff of Family Hospice and Palliative Care for all their love and special care. Friends will be received from 1p.m to 4p.m and 6p.m to 8p.m, Sunday, April 3rd. at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m Monday, April 4th in Seven Dolors Church, Yukon, with the Rev. Jonathan J. Wisneski as celebrant. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
