Warren Angus Obituary

Warren R. "Popeye" Angus, 76, of Jeannette, peacefully passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, in Hempfield Manor, surrounded by his family. He was born June 4, 1942, in Brockton, Mass., son of the late Charles A. and Florence M. (Piazzia) Angus. Warren "Popeye" was proud to be a Navy veteran, having served during Vietnam. Prior to his retirement, he was a truck driver/teacher-instructor, having worked for Smith Transport. He was also employed by Mr. Tire in Monroeville as an assistant manager. Warren was a member of Norwin Alliance Church, and also a member of Fire/Police HVFD Station 15 in Herminie, a life member of Herminie VFW Post 8427, Patton American Legion and Herminie Wendel Athletic Association. He was a hard worker, and if he was not working, he loved spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda (Endler) Angus in 2006; son-in-law, William Lepsch; infant granddaughter, Lindsey Angus; a brother, Charles Angus; and two sisters, Dorothy Easton and Beverly Lolar. Warren is survived by his loving wife, Mary (LaBryer) Angus; a son, Charles C. (Jessica) Angus Sr., of Herminie, three daughters, Helen Lepsch, of Madison, Rachel Maline, of Irwin, and Brenda (Francis) David, of North Huntingdon; four grandchildren, Charles C. (Sarah) Angus Jr., Rebecca Angus, Kenzee Maline and Vanessa Celio; two great-granddaughters, Alexandra and Elizabeth Angus; a sister, Gloria Sebillon, of California; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews Warren will be dearly missed by his family, friends, neighbors and the many acquaintances he has made over the years. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for all their loving and compassionate care. Friends will be received  from noon to 4 p.m.  Sunday at the Herminie VFW POST 8427, 501Church St., Herminie, at which time a memorial service with full military honors will be held, to celebrate Warren's life.
