Warren L. Mellinger, 62, of Irwin, passed away Thursday September 15, 2016 in Transitions Health Care in North Huntingdon. He was born June 28, 1954 in Pittsburgh, son of the late Robert L. and Thelma Ruth (Jones) Mellinger. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant son, Robert Mellinger.Warren was a US Navy Veteran having served during Vietnam. He was employed as a truck driver having worked for Pittsburgh Mobile TV Inc., for over 20 years. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the VFW Post #781 in Irwin. He loved spending time with his two granddaughters, Gia and Molly. Warren is survived by his three daughters, Kaleigh Mellinger of Colorado Springs, CO, Karen (Albert) Wood of Ruffsdale and Rebecca Smith of West Newton; twelve grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. He is also survived by two brothers, Terry (Pam) Mellinger of Virginia Beach and Pat (Sue) Mellinger of Herminie. Little Weasel will be dearly missed by his family, friends and neighbors. There will be no public visitation per Warren’s request. a memorial service will be held Monday at 1:30pm at the VFW Post #33 in Greensburg, to celebrate Warren's life. Joseph W.
