William A. Bencloski

William A. Bencloski, 88, of Herminie, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in St. Anne Home, Greensburg.  He was born June 2, 1936, in Herminie, son of the late  Andrew and  Violet (Stefanacci) Bencloski.  In addition to his parents,  he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Bencloski.  
Bill had attended night school at  both University of Pittsburgh and Penn State University from 1954 to 1958. 
Prior to his retirement  he had worked for Westinghouse  in Waltz Mill as a Design/Drafter for more than 20 years.  He was proud to have had three patents from 1980 to 1984. He was a member of St. Edward Church  in Herminie and was an usher for many years. He was also an avid bowler,  and in 1979 his team  won  the PA bowling championship that competed nationally in Las Vegas, representing the VFW.  He was a social member of the Herminie VFW Post 8427.  Bill will forever be remembered as a kind and gentle man. 
He  is survived by his special cousin, Maryann ( Louis) Lazzaro of FL;  goddaughter, Stacy ( Omar) Obaid; Jennifer Lazzaro and Scott (Madelyn) Lazzaro.  Bill will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and neighbors.

Friends will be received  from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday, June 2, 2025,  at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. At which  time  funeral liturgy will be held  in the funeral home, with Fr.  David Nazimek officiating.
